Teams Advancing To The Elite Eight

The Elite Eight are set as the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball tournament is heading into the championship brackets. The first one to advance was Dayton versus Stanford in a matchup between two underdog teams. Second seeded Wisconsin also advanced by beating sixth seed Baylor 72-69. Top seed Florida beats UCLA in the South regional matchup 79-68. Top seed Arizona also advanced when it dispatched San Diego State, 70-64.

In the second half of Sweet Sixteen action, Michigan when it beat Tennessee 73-71. Connecticut defeated Iowa State 81-76 to book a trip into the Elite Eight. The fourth seed Michigan State upset top seed Virginia 61-59 to book a ticket into the next round. Louisville fell short of defending its 2013 title when it lost out to Kentucky 74-69.

The Elite Eight matchups feature top seed Florida going against Dayton, the remaining Cinderella team in the tournament. Arizona will be going up against Wisconsin. Michigan State will vie for a Final Four slot when it takes on Connecticut. The University of Kentucky will be up against Michigan it what will turn out to be an exciting matchup. The Elite Eight games will be played on March 30 and 31.
